Well, now I am sitting di tempat favourite aku sekarang ini, iaitu Starbucks di dalam Borders Times Square. Aku baru sahaja selesai watch movie baru di pawagam yakni cerita Watchmen. Malaysian premiere dan aku berasa bangga menjadi antara the first ones in Malaysia yang dapat tengok this particular movie. Aku memang suka tengok cerita superhero and cerita ini tak menghampakan sama sekali.
This is just initial reactions lepas tengok movie ni. Bagi aku it is not as great as last year's superhero movies, yakni The Dark Knight dan Iron Man tetapi still it is a very good movie indeed. I like the way the movie potrays each characters' journey of emotion and life. For example, cerita Roarch and how he become as sick as he is. Serta cerita Dr. Manhattan yang sering questions about life itself.
Mereka ini bukan your typical superhero. Mereka sebenarnya anti-hero yang sangat cool in my eyes. The effects in this movie is very good. The gore is realistic, and the destruction of places are also realistically done. A good job by the director of this movie, yang juga merupakan the mastermind behind cerita 300.
All in all, a solid A aku berikan kepada movie ini. Cerita ini mungkin kurang appealnya bagi peminat-peminat kasual, tetapi bagi mereka yang sangat suka seuperhero movies and such, this is a good movie to watch. Sekarang aku tak sabar nak tunggu cerita Wolverine pula.
